Most manufacturers specify the ampere-hour (Ah) capacity based on C100, which results in a higher capacity rating. (The C-rate indicates the number of discharge hours over which the specified ampere-hour capacity is usable.) We specify the Ah rating based on C10, as 10 hours is a more realistic value for solar storage applications!

It is evident that the 2-volt NLC cell already reaches 4,800 cycles at 50% depth of discharge. Even at 70% usage, it still achieves 4,300 cycles. This is spectacular compared to conventional lead-acid batteries.
Comparable (but more expensive) OpzV (VR L) branded batteries only achieve 3,000 cycles at 50% usage and reach their calendar life limit in eleven years!
The slightly cheaper OpzS (V L) batteries only reach 2,900 cycles at 50% usage.
The unique feature of BT-NLC technology is its four-times slower sulfation process. Based on our experience since 2009, this likely results in at least twice the lifespan. We recommend 50% battery usage and provide instructions in our included manual on how to adjust your system to achieve approximately 25 years of operation. Our goal is to ensure optimal battery resource utilization, achieving the longest possible lifespan for maximum ecological and economic efficiency. In general, up to 80% usage is possible, but this halves the lifespan. Positively speaking, the lifespan curve increases exponentially with lower usage.
