Description:
The Victron Inverter Phoenix C12/1200 (CIN241220000) is the next evolution stage after the 12/180-1200 Phoenix series. Compared to this series, the compact class devices feature a significantly expanded range of functions. Particularly in the area of communications, some innovations have been added, making the C12/1000 a future-proof investment. The continuous power of this device is **1000W**. From a 12V battery, this device generates 230V AC with a pure sine wave and precise 50Hz frequency, allowing the operation of highly sensitive electronic devices without compromise. The inverter also scores excellent values in terms of self-consumption and efficiency. As an added benefit, this device class now supports parallel and three-phase operation with other Phoenix inverters of the same series.
VE.Bus RS-485 Communication Port – Extensive New Possibilities
All Phoenix inverters of the Compact series feature an RS-485 data port, which allows connection to a computer/notebook via the optional VE Interface MK2-USB. This opens up entirely new possibilities for configuration and monitoring.
Here are some of the key options enabled by this innovation:
- Demand-based programming of many parameters such as output voltage, frequency, upper and lower voltage limits, and more
- Integration into a computer-based monitoring and control system
- All Phoenix Compact inverters can also be used with VENet, Victron Energy's innovative performance monitoring network, or other computer-based control and monitoring systems
- Simple programming of the integrated relay. The relay can, for example, generate signals in special situations or be used to start a generator
- Parallel and three-phase operation with other Phoenix inverters possible
The development of the new Phoenix series focused uncompromisingly on an inverter with a clean sine wave output and high efficiency. Using the latest hybrid HF technology, Victron was able to develop a high-quality product with compact dimensions and low weight that can deliver any desired power reliably. The **SinusMax technology**, which is also included in this series, enables particularly high peak currents when switching on devices up to 2400W.
Additional Technical Specifications of the Phoenix C12/1200
- 1000W continuous power, suitable for all common 12V batteries
- Pure sine wave provides precise 50Hz frequency
- Much higher peak power possible thanks to integrated SinusMax technology
- Converts 12V DC into 230V AC with a pure sine wave
- Advanced hybrid HF technology, significantly more powerful and less susceptible to interference than conventional HF technology
- Very low self-consumption and high efficiency
- Integrated energy-saving mode
- 2-pole alarm contact, which can be used as an output for remote on/off control
- Very high starting power thanks to SinusMax technology
SinusMax Technology
A key feature of SinusMax technology is the particularly high starting power. This is not possible with conventional HF technology. Phoenix inverters can handle high inrush currents from, for example, refrigeration compressors, power tools, and similar devices. Practically unlimited power is achievable through parallel connection and three-phase operation. Up to six inverter units can be connected in parallel to increase power. Three-phase operation is also possible. Automatic load switching to other AC sources: For smaller loads, we recommend the Filax automatic switch. Computers and other sensitive electronic devices can continue to operate practically without interruption, as the switching times are very short (under 20 ms).
