Victron inverter Quattro 24/8000/200-100/100
Victron Inverter Quattro 24/8000/200-100/100
Combination of inverter and charger with two AC inputs & two AC outputsManufacturer Description:
Inverter / Charger with Two Independent AC Inputs
The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources: for example, mains and a generator, or even two generators. The Quattro automatically connects to the active source.
Two AC Outputs
The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a power failure or an interruption of the mains/generator power, the Quattro takes over supplying the connected loads. The switch occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.
The second output only provides power when AC is available at one of the Quattro inputs. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output.
Practically Unlimited Power via Parallel Operation
Up to 10 Quattros can be connected in parallel. For example, with ten 48/10000/140 units, this results in 90 kW/100 kVA output power and 1400 A charging capacity.
Three-Phase Operation
Three units can be configured for a three-phase output. But that’s not all: up to 10 sets of three units can be connected in parallel, resulting in 270 kW/300 kVA inverter power and over 4,000 A charging capacity.
PowerControl – Operating with Limited Generator or Mains Power
The Quattro is a very powerful battery charger. Therefore, it draws a lot of current from the generator or mains supply (16 A per 5 kVA Quattro at 230 VAC). A current limit can be set on each AC input. The Quattro then takes other connected AC loads into account and only uses the remaining current for charging. This prevents overloading the generator or mains connection.
PowerAssist – Boosting Mains or Generator Power
This feature gives the PowerControl principle a new dimension, as the Quattro supports any undersized alternative source. Peak loads often occur only for a limited time. In such cases, the Quattro ensures that an undersized mains or generator supply is immediately compensated with energy from the battery. When the load is reduced, the “excess” energy can be used to charge the batteries.
Solar Power: AC Even During Power Failure
The Quattro can be used with both off-grid and grid-tied PV systems, as well as other alternative energy systems.
System Configuration Made Easier Than Ever
Once installed, the Quattro is ready for operation.
If settings need to be changed, this can be done within a few minutes using the new DIP switch setting procedure. Even parallel operation or three-phase operation can be programmed using the DIP switches: no computer is required!
Alternatively, VE.Net can be used instead of the DIP switches. Advanced software (VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configure) is also available to configure some new, extended features.
