Victron MultiPlus-II Inverter/Charger
The Victron MultiPlus-II is a multifunctional inverter/charger, ideal for professional applications in marine environments, yachts, vehicles, and off-grid land installations.
Main Features:
- Powerful Sine Wave Inverter: Combines an inverter, battery charger, and transfer switch in a compact housing.
- PowerAssist Function: Prevents overload of a limited AC power source by reducing battery charging and supplementing power from the battery when needed.
- ESS Compatibility: A key component in a Victron Energy Storage System (ESS); can be flexibly combined with MPPT solar chargers or grid-tied PV inverters.
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS Function): In the event of a grid failure or disconnection from shore/generator power, the inverter automatically takes over the supply of connected loads within less than 20 milliseconds.
- Two AC Outputs: The main output ensures an uninterrupted power supply, while a second output powers loads that should only be active when AC input is available.
- Remote Monitoring and Control: When used with a GX device (e.g., Cerbo GX), the free VRM app and VRM portal enable system monitoring and control locally or remotely via the internet.
The MultiPlus-II is a versatile and reliable solution for various energy applications, both grid-tied and off-grid.
Integrated GX Unit:
A MultiPlus-II with LCD and GX Functionality
The MultiPlus-II GX integrates a MultiPlus-II inverter/charger and a GX device with a display for 2 x 16 characters.
Display and Wi-Fi
The display shows parameters for the battery, inverter, and solar charge controller. These parameters can be accessed via a smartphone or any other Wi-Fi-enabled device.
GX Device
The integrated GX device includes:
- A BMS-Can interface, which can be used to connect to a compatible CAN-bus-managed battery. Note that this is not a VE.Can-compatible connection.
- A USB port.
- An Ethernet port.
- A VE.Direct port.
Applications
The MultiPlus-II GX is designed for applications that require additional connectivity to other products or remote monitoring, such as grid-connected or off-grid energy storage systems and certain mobile applications.
Parallel and Three-Phase Operation
Only one GX unit is required for parallel and three-phase operation.
