The communication module Xcom-232i is equipped with a serial RS-232 interface. It enables communication with one or more existing Studer Xtender systems and a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) unit. This makes it possible to transmit all data displayed on the RCC02 / RCC03, or the graphic display (voltage and current at the battery, status of auxiliary contacts, etc.), and also to change all configuration parameters.

An Xtender system can be connected to various SCADA control and monitoring devices (PC, programmable logic controllers, microcontrollers). To connect to the XTS series, the TCM-01 module is required. The RS-232 interface can technically enable data transmission with a GSM modem, RS-232 bridges to TCP/IP, or with RS-422 converters. The interface is also galvanically isolated.

The Xcom-232i module is also equipped with a system for storing system data (data logger function).
