Solar Laderegler Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/15 für 12 + 24 Volt, with Bluetooth
Description from the Manufacturer:
1.1 Built-in Bluetooth Smart: No dongle needed
The wireless solution for setting up, monitoring, and updating the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets, or other devices.
1.2 VE.Direct
For a wired data connection to a Color Control panel, a PC, or other devices.
1.3 Ultra-fast MPPT tracking
Especially under cloudy skies, when the light intensity constantly changes, a fast MPPT algorithm improves energy yield by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
1.4 Load output
Overcharging the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the loads when the battery is discharged to a specified voltage level. Alternatively, a smart battery management algorithm can be selected: see BatteryLife.
The load output is short-circuit proof. Some loads with a high inrush current are best connected directly to the battery. If there is a remote-controlled on/off input, these loads can be controlled by connecting the controller's load output to this input. A special interface cable may be required; please refer to section 3.7. Alternatively, a BatteryProtect can be used to control the load. Technical data can be found on our website.
1.5 BatteryLife: intelligent battery management
If the solar charge controller is unable to fully charge the battery within a day, the battery’s status constantly fluctuates between "partially charged" and "end of discharge." This operating mode (no regular full charge) can damage a lead-acid battery within weeks or months.
The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the state of charge of the battery and, if necessary, increases the disconnect threshold day by day (i.e., the load is disconnected earlier) until the harvested energy is sufficient to fully charge the battery to nearly 100%. From this point, the threshold for disconnecting the load is modulated so that a full charge to nearly 100% is achieved approximately once a week.
1.6 Internal temperature sensor
Compensates for constant and float charge voltages according to temperature.
1.7 Automatic battery voltage recognition
The controller automatically adjusts once to a 12V or 24V system. If a different system voltage is required later, it must be manually changed, e.g., using the Bluetooth app. See section 1.9.
1.8 Three-stage charging
The controller is configured for a three-stage charging process: Bulk – Absorption – Float. See section 3.8 and section 5 for standard settings. See section 1.9 for preset settings.
1.8.1. Bulk: Constant current phase During this phase, the controller delivers as much charging current as possible to quickly recharge the batteries. 1.8.2. Absorption: Constant voltage phase When the battery voltage reaches the constant voltage, the controller switches to constant voltage mode. If only light discharges occur, the constant voltage time is kept short to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, the constant voltage phase is automatically extended to ensure that the battery is fully charged. The constant voltage phase ends once the charging current drops below 1A. 1.8.3. Float: Float mode During this phase, float voltage is applied to the battery to keep it fully charged. If the battery voltage falls below the float voltage for at least 1 minute, a new charging cycle is triggered. 1.8.4. Equalization See section 3.8.1
1.9 Configuration and monitoring
- Bluetooth Smart (built-in): Connect to a smartphone or tablet with an iOS or Android operating system. - Use the VE.Direct to USB cable (ASS030530000) to connect to a PC, an Android smartphone, and USB On-The-Go support (additional USB OTG cable required). - Use a VE.Direct to VE.Direct cable to connect to an MPPT Control or a Color Control panel.
Several parameters can be individually adjusted with the VictronConnect app. The VictronConnect app can be downloaded from the Victron website.
